Oatmeal – A Natural Exfoliator

Oatmeal Snap

Oatmeal is part of a balanced skin care routine!

Brief: “Oatmeal doesn’t just support healthy colons – it supports healthy skin!”

Price: $2.00-$3.00 for 1 kg of instant oatmeal

Overview

I know what you’re probably thinking: “Is this guy nuts? What’s oatmeal got to do with skin care?” Just hang on a minute and I’ll tell you my story. A few months ago, I was searching online for natural acne remedies and came across things like egg whites, crushed aspirin, and apple cider vinegar. I decided to try using oatmeal because, hey, its in my kitchen already and I’m eating it everyday. The results were absolutely fantastic and better than any store-bought brand that I’ve ever used, such as St. Ives Apricot Scrub or Spectro Jel Cleanser. My face always feels fresher, more moisturized and firmer after a good oatmeal mask and a hot shower.

Bio-Oil – Product Review

Bio Oil

Rating: 8/10

Comments:

I use Bio-Oil almost like a moisturizer just before applying any kind of benzoyl peroxide product to counteract the drying effects. While I’ve read reviews that claim Bio-Oil can cure acne scars, don’t expect anything miraculous here. It is only useful for reducing the appearance of small acne scars and keep skin highly moisturized. I like to use this product sparingly because a little bit of oil can cover the entire face quite easily. One downside is the difficulty of applying oil to the face since it does not “stick” or fade after like creams and gels.

Exposed Acne Treatment Serum Review

The Main Component of the Exposed Skin Care System

Nickname: The “CTRL-Z” of Acne

PROS

  • Super effective formula! It really does wonders for mild to moderate acne sufferers.
  • Easy to apply and absorbed by skin within minutes
  • Cost-effective when purchased with Exposed kit

CONS

  • Depending on your skin type and whether you’ve used benzoyl peroxide products in the past, you may experience dry or flaky skin. If this is case, I recommend using this less frequently and/or applying a moisturizer 10-15 minutes before applying the serum.
  • Expensive as a stand-alone product from the Exposed website
  • Odd scent – could be green tea extract or azelaic acid, however it is not a huge issue

Exposed Derm-X Cloth Review

ABOUT

Yes, it’s true – this mini post is for the Derm-X Cloth included in every Exposed Skin Care kit. As a long-time user, I’ve got to say it’s definitely no ordinary cloth! Approved by dermatologists, the Derm-X Cloth is made from special material and features tiny microfiber flakes to assist with exfoliation in a process known as microdermabrasion. Those microfibers hang out from the surface of the cloth in order to trap more dirt and oil from your skin! Just take a look at the photos below to see the microfibers that I’m talking about.

In addition to being an excellent exfoliator, Exposed claims that using their Derm-X Cloth can “improve skin tone, reduce blemishes… and help with skin discoloration, sun damage and even minor scarring!” It is also helpful for eliminating blackheads and whiteheads – by cleaning the face properly and gently removing dead skin cells, cosmetics, oils and dirt.
